Through mindful education our children learn Self-Awareness, Self-Regulation and the power of their own innate intelligence to aid  them in reaching their highest potential. Daily meditation and breathing exercises teach our children to become more conscious, in touch and in control of their internal and external emotional triggers.

Evidence-based research demonstrates that through the practice of mindfulness children are able to decrease stress and anxiety, increase attention and focus, as well as cultivate tolerance. Children who actively practice mindfulness also increase their ability to be more compassionate and empathetic towards themselves and others.

At Iamka, together with Mindful Kids Miami, we strive to provide a happy learning environment, while teaching children how to cope positively with real-life stressors.

“I believe that the mind and heart are two organs that must be connected. Mindfulness is a return to reason, calm, peace and understanding of ourselves and others, teaching students to live with purpose and rightfulness.” Superintendent of M-DCPS, Albert Carvalho
